Tigers add McMullen for 2025-26
Dalhousie Tigers women’s soccer head coach Cindy Tye is pleased to announce the commitment of Katie McMullen for the 2025-26 season.
Hailing from Toronto, Ontario, the central midfielder plays for North Toronto Soccer Club where they won the 2024 Summer Top Rated Umbro Showcase. McMullen, a standout athlete at York Mills Collegiate Institute, was named Junior Athlete of the Year for 2022-23 and earned MVP honors in cross-country for both the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
“I am so very excited to be joining the Tigers next year!” says McMullen. “I am confident that Dal will help me grow as a player as well as a person, and I have very high hopes for the upcoming few years!”
McMullen will be studying biology at Dalhousie University.
“Katie is a very technical player with a great IQ for the game,” says Tye. “We will look to her to help keep us in possession, to make the final pass, and get in and around the box to be a scoring threat. A great student, we are excited to welcome Katie to the Tigers!”
The women’s soccer team ended their 2024-25 season with a 5-4-3 record and are excited for their upcoming season in the fall!
