Tigers blank Panthers 6-0
Riley Donovan led the way as the Tigers netted six second half goals en route to a 6-0 victory over the UPEI Panthers Friday evening.

On a brisk October evening at Wickwire Field in Halifax the Dalhousie Tigers women's soccer team out battled the UPEI Panthers to a 6-0 victory. This victory pushed the Tigers to a 4-0-1 record while the Panthers fell to 1-3-2.
The early AUS season saw the Tigers go undefeated in their first four games (3-0-1) and on Friday evening they looked like a team who wanted to keep that goose egg in the loss column.
Dalhousie controlled the majority of play in the first half with strong offensive pressure that resulted in some good scoring opportunities.
Annabel Gravely (Toronto, ON) was making her fifth straight start of the year and made a pair of stops in the first half to keep the Panthers off the board.
As for the Panthers, goalkeeper Ali Muise (Charlottetown, PEI) was making her third start of the year and kept her team in the game with seven saves in the first half. Shots from Dalhousie's Zoe Brown (Halifax, NS) and Chloe Richardson (Calgary, AB) forced Muise to jump high and low to keep the game scoreless into the half.
The Tiger carried their momentum into the second half but this time they would capitalize on their chances.
The first goal was off the foot of Riley Donovan (Toronto, ON) in the 51' minute from close range. Only five minutes later Donovan would net her second of the game heading the ball into the back of the net off of a corner kick.
Dalhousie wasn't done there when in the 64' minute they were rewarded with another corner. The corner ball was headed just under the crossbar, this time by Sofia Nicolls (Vancouver, BC) for her first marker of the season. The two corner kick assists were off the foot of Morgan Leon (Toronto, ON).
In the 66' minute Donovan would complete the hat trick. A hard shot into the right side of the goal off of a beautiful pass from Hillary Ogoke (Calgary, AB).
UPEI would manage to produce a few chances of their own in the half as Madison Hurley (Charlottetown UPEI) had a pair of good shots from inside the box that forced Gravely to be sharp once again.
The Tigers would add two more goals before time was up as they took the match by a score of 6-0.
The AUS SUBWAY Player of the Game was Dalhousie's #5 Riley Donovan with the hat trick.
UPEI will attempt to get back on track Sunday when they host Cape Breton at 1pm.
Dalhousie's will look to extend their win streak on Sunday when they visit Mount Allison for a 1pm kick off.
