The UBC Thunderbirds, disappointed to find themselves in the consolation round, responded emphatically by dominating the Dalhousie Tigers 3-0 on Friday at the 2025 U SPORTS Men's Soccer Championship.
Goalkeeper Jack Garner did not need to make a single save to earn the clean sheet, as the Thunderbirds (18-2-1, 15-0-1 CW) displayed clear offensive superiority, firing 17 shots, with 11 on target.
Luke Norman opened the scoring for UBC in the 26th minute of the first half, finishing a pass from Nicolas Nadeau.
Max Comsia doubled the Thunderbirds' lead in the 56th minute, and Markus Rukavina sealed the victory with a third goal in the 81st minute.
The AUS champion Dalhousie Tigers (10-4-2, 8-2-2 AUS) were unable to beat Garner despite 12 shots, none of which were on goal.
UBC, the Canada West finalist, will continue its tournament on Saturday in the fifth-place game. The 2025 season is now over for Dalhousie.
