WOLFVILLE, Nova Scotia — Acadia defeated Dalhousie, 7–4, at Acadia Arena. Dalhousie's power play was effective, scoring twice on four opportunities.
The first period began with Dalhousie quickly taking advantage as Zak Smith scored the opening goal at 1:18, giving the visitors an early lead. Dalhousie extended their advantage to 2–0 when Ethan Wongus capitalized on a power play opportunity at 5:50 with assists from Luke Johnston and Grady Logue. Acadia responded at 11:04 with a goal by Ethan Ernst, narrowing the gap to 2–1. Logue restored Dalhousie's two-goal lead at 13:10, but the Axemen continued to fight back, with Keagan Slaney scoring at 15:26. Acadia then equalized at 18:26 with a power-play goal by Liam Kidney, ending the period tied at 3–3.
The second period saw Acadia seize the lead with a late goal by Justin DeZoete at 18:46, assisted by Marc Boudreau and Kidney. Dalhousie had several attempts throughout the period but was unable to find the back of the net, with Brayden Peters stopping multiple shots, including efforts from Brody Fournier and Ethan Martini. The period featured strong defensive plays from both teams, with Dalhousie successfully killing off two penalties. As the period closed, the Axemen held a 4-3 advantage, turning the momentum in their favor heading into the final period.

Shortly after Dalhousie began a power play due to a hooking penalty on Boudreau, Kidney scored a short-handed goal at 10:44 with assists from Brendan Tomilson and Conor Shortall, increasing their advantage. At 12:33, Bailey Peach, assisted by Charlie Desroches and Ryder McIntyre, added another goal for Acadia. Dalhousie responded with a power-play goal by Jack Harper at 18:16, assisted by Johnston and Seth Dragan. Despite this late effort, the Axemen maintained their lead to secure the victory with a final score of 7-4.
