Jelley joins Tigers for 2025-26
Dalhousie Tigers men’s hockey head coach Chris Donnelly is pleased to announce the commitment of Jonah Jelley for the 2025-26 season.
Hailing from Granville, Prince Edward Island the 5’9 left winger played 22 games, with four points for the Charlottetown Islanders in the Quebec Major Junior League before finishing the 2022-23 season with the Amherst Jr. A Ramblers where he scored five goals and had 11 assists. Overcoming injury, Jelley has achieved 86 points in 72 games with the Ramblers throughout the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons.
Off the ice, Jelley received the Carter’s Sports Cresting Leadership and Academic Award from the Amherst Ramblers in 2025.
“I’m super excited to get the opportunity to play hockey and attend such an amazing school like Dal.” Says Jelley. “I think there is a lot to look forward to and I cannot wait to get started.”
Jelley will be studying law, justice and society
“An assistant captain with his junior team, Jonah is known as a tenacious and relentless competitor.” Says Donnelly. “Jonah will bring plenty of energy to our program and he also possesses a scoring touch that will be welcomed to improve our team’s offensive output”
The Tigers open their 2025-26 season at UNB on October 3.
