2015-16 Season Preview
The Tigers have added eight new players with size, speed and scoring ability to the lineup this year.
Joe Gladnick, a 6’2 goaltender from Philadelphia, joins last year’s AUS rookie all-star goaltender Corbin Boes and fifth-year Wendell Vye in nets.
On defence, the addition of 6’2 Jesse Lussier (Halifax Mooseheads/Chicoutimi Sagueneens) and Colton Heffley, a 6’3 Swift Current native (Kelowna Rockets/Prince Albert Raiders), will compliment returning defencemen Brendan Duke, a member of the 2013 Memorial Cup Champion Halifax Mooseheads, captain Luke Madill, assistant captain Matt English, Wes Herrett, Myles McGurty and Patrick Arnold.
The forward lines have added some much needed speed and scoring with Phil Gadoury (Halifax Mooseheads) Felix Page (Nepean Raiders) and Daniel Walsh (Ottawa 67’s). All three were leading scorers on their respective teams. Tyler Noseworthy (Bloomington Thunder) and Jackson Playfair (Spokane Chiefs) bring size and grit to the lineup and round out the freshmen class of forwards.
Returning forwards include third-years Fabian Walsh, Andrew Rieder and Alex Cote, as well as fourth-year assistant captain Andrew Wigginton. Sophomore players include Tanner Williams, Mike Evelyn, JP Harvey, Colton Parsons and Steven Johnston are all back for their second seasons in the black and gold to complete the group.
