Dalhousie Tigers women’s basketball head coach Anna Stammberger is pleased to announce the commitment of Chloe Wilson for the 2019-20 season.
The 5’11 forward from Dartmouth, N.S. is the current captain of the Dartmouth High School varsity basketball team that finished first in the Metro league in 2017-18. Wilson and her Dartmouth High School teammates finished off a successful season winning both the capital region and provincial titles.
Wilson has been a member of the Basketball Nova Scotia provincial team for five years, attending the national tournament three times.
“I am very excited to be attending Dalhousie University and to be able to play for a great basketball program,” says Wilson.
Off the court, Wilson has been an honours student the last three years and will study law, justice and society while at Dalhousie.
“We are very excited to welcome Chloe to the Tigers family,” says Stammberger. “At Dalhousie, Chloe has found the perfect academic fit and she has the physical strength, leadership qualities and ability to contribute and compete at the next level. We look forward to working with Chloe and helping her develop both on and off the court.”
The Tigers finished the season in sixth place and lost to Acadia in the quarter-finals of the AUS championship.
