Dalhousie Tigers women’s basketball head coach Anna Stammberger is pleased to announce the commitment of Morgan Gause for the 2019-20 season.
Gause is a 5’6 point guard from Baltimore, Maryland. During her four-year varsity career at Oldfields School, she accumulated 1098 career points, averaging 22.5 points, 5.1 steals, 2.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
A three-time Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland (IAAM) all-conference team award winner, Gause was also her team’s MVP from 2016-2019 leading them to their school’s first championship game in the 2018 season.
“Having the opportunity to attend Dalhousie is an amazing feeling,” says Gause. “I am happy to be taking my basketball career to the next level and to have a coach that is going to help me perfect my craft and make me a better person off the court.”
Gause will be studying psychology while attending Dalhousie.
“We are so excited to welcome Morgan to the Tigers,” says Stammberger. “Her athleticism and competitive spirit will have a major impact on the defensive and transition aspects of our game. We look forward to working with her and watching her grow and excel in the classroom and on the court.”
The Tigers finished the 2018-19 season in sixth-place and lost to Acadia in the AUS quarter-finals.
