WOLFVILLE, N.S. - The U SPORTS No. 2 ranked Dalhousie Tigers handed the Acadia Axemen their third consecutive loss in a 94-75 defeat during Friday night's matchup.
Acadia and Dalhousie both made 50% of their shots in the first half, however, Dalhousie made 9 of their 18 as opposed to Acadia's 4 for 8. The Tigers led 21-13 after the first quarter.

Acadia's Forest Mahoney (Beachburg, Ont.) shot a perfect 5/5 in the first half and had a monstrous block. Mahoney sent another shot back later in the game, put up 18 points and grabbed three rebounds. Mahoney's explosive performance earned him the Acadia Player of the Game.
Despite having fewer chances than their opponents, the Axemen shot very efficiently from the field. At the half, the team had shot 14/23 (60.9%) and 3/6 from three.
The scoring gap expanded further in the third quarter, and the hopes of a comeback were looking slim for the Axemen. With one quarter left, the score read 75-56.
The fourth quarter was much of the same, with the Axemen unable to close the gap and the Tigers maintaining control and forcing turnovers. Acadia had 18 turnovers compared to Dalhousie's eight. The Tigers remain undefeated at 6-0 with the 94-75 win.
