CIS Final 8 Men's Basketball Tickets

(HALIFAX, June 13, 2016):  Sports & Entertainment Atlantic, in partnership with Dalhousie Athletics and Acadia Athletics is pleased to announce that a select number of CIS Final 8 Men’s Basketball Championship tournament ticket packages will be available for purchase on Wednesday June 15th at 11am through Ticket Atlantic.

The CIS Final 8 is returning to Halifax from March 9 -12, 2017 and feature the top eight teams in the country battling it out on the Scotiabank Centre hardwood. The defending AUS champion Dalhousie Tigers, led by head coach Rick Plato, will be the host team for the 2017 championship, while the Acadia Axemen, led by head coach Kevin Duffie, will be the host team for the 2018 championship. 
Both tournaments will be played at the Scotiabank Centre in Downtown Halifax, which has hosted the CIS Men’s Basketball Championship a record 27 times.

Tournament ticket packages will include a reserved seat of your choice for six (6) doubleheaders (12 games).  Package pricing will be $150 for Adults, $100 for Seniors (60+) and only $50 for Students and Youth (12 & under).  All ticket prices include HST but are subject to an online processing fee from Ticket Atlantic.

The CIS Final 8 organizing committee is also pleased to announce that Tom Lynch has been named as the Honorary Chair of the 2017 CIS Final 8 Men’s Basketball Championship.

“Tom Lynch has a rich history with Dalhousie and our Athletics program,” commented Tim Maloney, Director of Athletics at Dalhousie University. “His passion, support and commitment to the Dalhousie Tigers made Tom the perfect candidate to be our Honorary Chair for the 2017 CIS Final 8 Men’s Basketball Championship.”

“I’m very humbled to be invited to serve as Honorary Chair for the 2017 Final 8,” said Tom Lynch “I’m thrilled that this wonderful tournament is returning to Halifax, it’s most successful home, and especially excited for my Dalhousie Tigers to be hosting!”
